May update on this and that...

aaaaand I´ve started growing flowers.... the purple one on the left is the only one to go so far! Yay!

so I just read your side post.... "Me whistling Kelly Clarkson´s "My Life Would Suck Withouth You" on the subway. When I hit the chorus I hear a very quiet voice next to me singing, "My rife, wourd suck witouuuuchu." I high-fived her." and this is hilarious! I can just picture it! =)... more stories to come please!!!

Korean Life as a Meekook (American)

Me whistling Kelly Clarkson´s "My Life Would Suck Withouth You" on the subway. When I hit the chorus I hear a very quiet voice next to me singing, "My rife, wourd suck witouuuuchu." I high-fived her.
Sometimes we do things we know we can get away with because people think, "Poor meekooks, are so culturally confused here..." eventhough we know drinking on the subway is not allowed.
Me shopping:"Try please?". The sales clerk with sad eyes and pouting lips makes a small x with her hands (Korean sign language for "no"). then says:"Besides, this sizah esa, you sizah ellah."
While out with friends.... "Hey, I´m going back to get my drink at the bar." Friend: "You LEFT it there?" Me: "yeah.....". Walk back to bar to find my drink and cashie waiting for me where I left them a 1/2 hour ago. Korean integrity rocks!!
Me: Oedi yeyo buseh? (Where´s the bus?) Korean kids looks at me confused, picks up the phone and calls his FRIEND who speaks ENGLISH so he can help me get to the buseh. incredible.
America! Hi, America. Helloooo!
staring.... blatant staring. Mostly from older men and small children
"You meekook? You teach Englishie? You like Korean boy?" man on the subway
"You meekook, you pay meekook pricie"
